The Diocesan Museum occupies the former San Francisco convent half a block from the cathedral. The collection is religious art from across Falcón State — colonial silver, vestments, polychrome statues of saints, and a handful of important paintings — but the building itself, with its cloistered courtyard and original tile floors, is the highlight.
It is the largest religious-art museum in western Venezuela, named for a 20th-century archbishop of Coro. Pair it with a visit to the cathedral next door.
