The Agri Horticultural Garden is a 21-acre green space in Alipore, founded by William Carey in 1820 and run by the Agri Horticultural Society of India. Its lawns, informal gardens, flower shows, and collection of tropical and rare plants make it a calm stop away from central Kolkata's heavier traffic.
