The Museum of Astronomy and Space Science is a specialist science museum with models of historic spacecraft and rockets, including Sputnik, Apollo, the Space Shuttle, and Indian missions such as Chandrayaan and Aditya. It also covers astronomy, early flight, meteorites, fossils, and major figures in science.
It is a good family stop for visitors interested in space and science, especially if you are already spending time around the EM Bypass side of Kolkata. The museum is more focused than the city's larger general museums, so it works best for travellers who actively want a science stop.
