Part of the Astan Quds Razavi museum complex inside the Imam Reza Shrine, the Carpet Museum displays a small but exceptional selection of Persian carpets gifted to the shrine over the centuries — including silk carpets from Kashan, vast wool carpets from Tabriz, and the distinctive medallion carpets of Mashhad itself.
The hall is climate-controlled and the lighting respectful of the textiles. A good companion to a visit to the carpet bazaar.
