A large public park in the western part of Mashhad with shaded lawns, an artificial lake, walking paths, and a small zoo. It is a favourite weekend destination for local families and a useful escape from the press of the city centre, particularly in the afternoon heat.
The park is reachable by metro or by a short taxi ride from the centre. Combine with the nearby Vakilabad neighbourhood for a half-day away from the shrine.
