Église Saint-Germain-des-Prés is one of the oldest churches in Paris and the anchor of the neighbourhood that took its name. The present building is mostly Romanesque and Gothic, with layers of earlier abbey history behind it, making it worth stepping inside even if you are mainly here for the cafés and galleries around Boulevard Saint-Germain.
