Moulin de la Galette is one of Montmartre's surviving windmills, built in the early 18th century and later tied to the area's dance-hall and cafe culture. The mill is now part of a restaurant, but it remains easy to spot from the street and adds a tangible trace of old Montmartre to a walk around the hill.
