The Guimet Museum is one of Paris's great specialist museums, devoted to Asian art from Afghanistan, India, Southeast Asia, China, Korea, Japan, and the Himalayan world. It is less crowded than the Louvre or Orsay, but the collection has real depth: Khmer sculpture, Buddhist statuary, Japanese prints, Chinese ceramics, and ritual objects that reward slow looking.
