The wide central square of the lower town, dominated on its western side by the long Neoclassical facade of the New Town Hall (the former Catholic seminary). Daily food market here Monday through Saturday — sausage, bread, cheeses, the long-stemmed local salad onions — and the city Christmas market in December.
A working square more than a postcard square; come in the late morning for the produce.
