The Basilica della Collegiata is a small, intensely decorated late-baroque church on Via Etnea, with one of the finest facades in the city — concave, in three orders, signed by Stefano Ittar. It is squeezed between the surrounding buildings in a way that makes the facade look almost like a stage set.
Inside, the church is bright with eighteenth-century frescoes and gilt stucco. It is generally open in the morning and during Mass.
