Palazzo San Giuliano

Palazzo San Giuliano is the long baroque building that forms the eastern side of Piazza dell'Università. It was designed by Giovanni Vaccarini in the 1730s and remains a private noble palace, with a public passageway running through the ground floor.

The view from inside the passageway — out across the symmetrical square to the matching Palazzo dell'Università — is one of the best compositions of baroque Catania.
