Crymlyn Bog is the largest lowland fen in Wales, east of Swansea city centre. It is protected as a Ramsar site, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and a National Nature Reserve.
The appeal is quiet wetland scenery rather than spectacle: reeds, boardwalk-style exploring where access allows, birdlife, and a sense of wild ground close to the city. There is a visitor centre and parking.
