Sail Bridge

The Sail Bridge is a pedestrian and cycle crossing of the River Tawe, opened in 2003 with a single 42-metre mast leaning over the river and twenty-six steel cables fanning down to support the deck. By night it is floodlit and reflects in the water, one of the more photogenic pieces of contemporary architecture in the city.

It connects the Maritime Quarter on the west bank to Parc Tawe and the SA1 development on the east, putting the marina, the Waterfront Museum and the cinema all within a short walk of each other.
