St Mary's Church

Medieval church rebuilt after the 1941 Blitz in perpendicular Gothic style

The medieval parish church of Swansea, tucked away in a quiet corner behind Castle Square. Almost entirely destroyed by bombing in the three-night Swansea Blitz of February 1941, rebuilt in its original perpendicular Gothic style and rededicated in 1959. Worth a short visit for the quiet and the restored stained glass.
