Swansea Minster

Swansea Minster — formally the Minster Church of St Mary — was granted minster status in 2012 and serves as the principal Anglican church of the city. The current building is the 1950s rebuild of the medieval parish church flattened in the Blitz of February 1941.

The exterior is austere Perpendicular Gothic; the interior has good post-war stained glass and the curious Swansea Devil watching from the porch. Free entry during opening hours, and a useful place to escape a shower of South Wales rain.
