The Anglican cathedral, three blocks west of Parliament Square. It is the fifth church on this site since 1670, the previous ones having been variously burnt, blown over by hurricanes, or sacked by Spanish raiders. The current building dates from 1837–1841 and is built in a robust English neo-Gothic.
The interior is darker and more austere than St. Francis Xavier, with memorial plaques to Bahamian governors and merchant captains lining the walls. The choir is one of the best in the Caribbean and Choral Evensong on Sundays at 6 pm is worth timing a visit around.
