The closest public beach to the cruise terminal, a short walk west of Bay Street — sometimes called Long Wharf Beach. It is narrow and not as photogenic as Cabbage Beach, but the water is clean and the location convenient for cruise passengers without time for a taxi.
Several beach shacks here serve cold Kalik, conch fritters, and rum punch through the day. It is the most local of the central Nassau beaches: more Bahamian families than tourists outside cruise hours.
