The Museo del Banco Central de Reserva displays Peruvian art from ancient cultures through the republican era and into the present. Its collections cover archaeology, folk art and painting, giving a compact overview of the country's visual history.
The museum is housed in a handsome former central bank building from 1929, close to the main sights of Lima's historic centre.
