The Wuhou District in the city's south contains Chengdu's most culturally dense cluster: the Wuhou Shrine and Three Kingdoms heritage area, the Jinli Ancient Street, and Huaxi medical campus. The neighbourhood has a more traditional character than the commercial north and is less overwhelmed by shopping malls. It is also the centre of Chengdu's Tibetan community — a neighbourhood called Little Tibet surrounds the main bus station for routes to the Tibetan plateau.
