The Ming Prince Tombs preserve part of Chengdu's imperial-era story beyond the better-known temples, teahouses, and Three Kingdoms sites. The complex is associated with Ming princes of Shu, whose court and burial culture left traces around the eastern side of the city.
This is a specialist historical stop rather than a first-day Chengdu sight. It makes most sense if you have already seen Wuhou Shrine, Jinsha, and the central museums, and want to follow the city's older royal geography out toward the suburbs.
