Chengdu Zoo is a large city zoo in northern Chengdu, near Zhaojue Temple. It has the expected range of animals, including elephants, tigers, giraffes, monkeys, and pandas.
It is most useful as a family stop or as an easy add-on to the temple next door. For pandas specifically, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is the stronger choice.
