The small shrine of Bibi Pak Daman stands inside the walled enclosure of the Bahauddin Zakariya shrine complex, on the southern slope of the fort mound. It is the tomb of a thirteenth-century princess of Fergana who, according to the local tradition, travelled to Multan to marry Sadr-ud-Din Arif, son of Bahauddin Zakariya, and became the mother of Shah Rukn-e-Alam. Her name — "pious lady" — is now used as a generic title for several women's tombs across the subcontinent (there is a famous one in Lahore), but the Multan shrine is the original.
The tomb is plain — a small whitewashed chamber with a green-shrouded grave — but it is heavily visited by women pilgrims, particularly those seeking blessings for children or marriage.
