Saint Mary's Cathedral is the principal Anglican (now Church of Pakistan) church in Multan, built in the Cantonment in the 1840s during the early years of British rule. It is a single-nave brick building in a plain Victorian Gothic style with a tall bell tower, set in a walled compound with mature trees and the graves of British officers and their families from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
The churchyard is one of the few quiet, shaded places in this part of the city and the Cathedral itself, though much smaller than the great Multani shrines, is an interesting counterpoint to them — Christian Multan in miniature.
