The Shrine of Mai Maharban is one of the small but locally important women's tombs in Multan, located just outside the Bohar Gate. Mai Maharban — said to have been the wife of Shaikh Hassan, who arrived in Multan in the mid-twelfth century shortly after Shah Yousaf Gardezi — is venerated as a female saint of pious nature and is the focus of an annual urs festival. The tomb itself is plain whitewashed brick with a low dome, set in a small walled courtyard.
