Akaretler Street

Akaretler Street, officially Suleyman Seba Caddesi, is a row of restored late Ottoman-era houses near Besiktas and Dolmabahce Palace. The buildings were originally tied to the palace world and now hold boutiques, cafes, and restaurants.

It is a short architectural detour rather than a long stop, but the continuous terrace gives this part of Besiktas a more polished historic feel than the surrounding traffic suggests.
