Yıldız Palace is a large late-Ottoman complex of pavilions, villas, gardens, and service buildings above Beşiktaş.
It was an imperial residence in the late 19th century, and its grounds make a quieter counterpoint to the more famous waterfront palaces along the Bosphorus.
