Sokollu Mehmet Pasha Mosque is a 16th-century Ottoman mosque commissioned by the powerful grand vizier Sokollu Mehmet Pasha. Its sloping site gives the complex an unusual layout, and the building is a rewarding quieter stop near Sultanahmet's better-known monuments.
