Villa Pignatelli is a refined change of pace from Naples' louder historic centre. The neoclassical villa preserves aristocratic rooms, decorative arts, and the atmosphere of a nineteenth-century residence facing the Chiaia side of the city.
The grounds and carriage museum make it more than a quick house tour. It pairs well with Villa Comunale and the seafront: an elegant, slightly restrained Naples that contrasts nicely with Spaccanapoli, markets, and underground archaeology.
