Hospital de la Santa Creu is the medieval hospital complex that served Barcelona before the modernist Hospital de Sant Pau was built. Its courtyards and Gothic stonework now sit around the National Library of Catalonia, making it one of El Raval's quieter architectural stops.
It is worth folding into a walk between La Rambla, the Boqueria, and the old streets of El Raval.
