The National Art Museum of Catalonia fills the Palau Nacional on Montjuic and is one of Barcelona's major art museums. Its Romanesque collection is the standout, with church frescoes and the Pantocrator from Taull, but the Gothic galleries and the palace setting are also part of the visit.
The museum works well as part of a Montjuic day with the Magic Fountain, Poble Espanyol, and the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion nearby.
