Parc del Laberint d'Horta

Barcelona's oldest garden with a 18th-century cypress maze

Parc del Laberint d'Horta is Barcelona's oldest surviving garden, tucked into the Collserola foothills in the Horta district. The centrepiece is a neoclassical cypress hedge maze dating from 1791 — well-maintained, genuinely tricky, and popular with children and adults alike.

Beyond the maze, the park spreads across terraced levels with romantic pavilions, canals, a small waterfall, and rose gardens. It's far less crowded than most Barcelona attractions, and the upper terraces offer good views over the city. Entry is cheap and the park closes on Tuesdays.
