Jalisco history from mammoth bones to colonial art in a former seminary

Housed in a handsome former seminary at 60 Liceo Street, the Regional Museum covers Jalisco's history from prehistoric times through the colonial era. The ground floor has archaeological pieces and mammoth bones; upstairs you will find colonial paintings and religious art. Open Tuesday to Saturday 9:00--17:30, Sundays 9:00--17:00. Admission is 25 pesos for adults, free for children.
