Belle Isle Marsh Reservation protects the last remaining salt marsh in Boston. The reserve covers more than 200 acres, with a smaller public area of paths, marsh views, and seasonal birdlife near East Boston and Revere.
It is a quiet nature stop rather than a major museum-style attraction, but it rewards visitors who want a short walk, open sky, and a look at the coastal ecosystem that once covered more of Boston Harbor.
