Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway

The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway is the ribbon of parks created after Boston buried the old Central Artery during the Big Dig. It curves through downtown with lawns, fountains, public art, food trucks, seating areas, and a carousel, turning what was once an elevated highway into one of the city's easiest walks.

It works best as a connector rather than a single destination. Use it between the North End, the waterfront, Faneuil Hall, and Chinatown, and leave time to pause when a fountain, mural, or market stall catches your eye.
