Abricó Beach is Rio's best-known naturist beach, tucked out in the western part of the city beyond the main tourist beaches. It is a deliberate trip rather than a casual stop, with limited facilities and little phone service, so plan transport and supplies before going.
The reward is a quieter, wilder stretch of coast than Copacabana or Ipanema.
