Tijuca National Park protects a mountainous Atlantic Forest landscape inside Rio de Janeiro, with winding roads, viewpoints, waterfalls, and hiking trails. Much of the forest was replanted after coffee plantations damaged the original cover, making it one of the city's most striking recoveries as well as one of its best escapes from the beach districts.
