Planetarium Espaço Museu do Universo is a family-friendly science stop near Gávea and Leblon. Weekend planetarium shows are aimed at different age groups, so check the programme before choosing a session.
Outside show times, the museum space has hands-on science experiments that make it useful for children, especially on a rainy day or as a quieter break from the beaches.
