Pune Tribal Museum

A small but rewarding museum in Koregaon Park dedicated to the tribal communities of Maharashtra -- the Warlis, Bhils, Pawras, Mahadeo Kolis, and others. The displays cover daily life, agriculture, hunting, ritual, and the distinctive Warli wall painting tradition with its stick-figure compositions of villages and dances.

It is housed in an old colonial bungalow and rarely crowded. Allow an hour. Combine with the Aga Khan Palace, which is a ten-minute auto away on the other side of the river.
