Eram Botanical Garden

University-run botanical garden adjacent to Bagh-e Eram

Adjoining the Bagh-e Eram Persian garden is the Eram Botanical Garden, run by Shiraz University and one of the largest botanical collections in Iran. The grounds stretch over more than 25 hectares and hold thousands of plant species, with sections devoted to native Iranian flora, desert plants, and an arboretum of mature trees.

The botanical garden is much quieter than the Persian garden next door and is a good escape on a hot afternoon. Combined ticket arrangements vary; check at the Bagh-e Eram gate. Worth an hour for anyone interested in plants, or a peaceful walk.
