Kemer

Kemer, 43 km south of Antalya, is a planned resort town developed in the 1980s to absorb package tourism from the city. It has an artificial marina, all-inclusive hotels, and beaches backed by pine-covered mountains. The setting — between the sea and the Taurus range — is genuinely attractive, even if the resort itself is generic.

The real draw is what lies around Kemer: the beaches and coves along the Olympos-Beydağları National Park coast, which begins just south of town. Phaselis is 15 km further south. The mountains immediately behind Kemer are traversable on hiking trails if you want to escape the resort atmosphere.
