Paragliding over the bay of Antalya, with the city below and the Taurus Mountains behind, has become one of the more popular adrenaline activities for visitors. Several operators offer tandem flights from the slopes above Konyaaltı, launching from around 600–800 metres altitude and soaring over the beach and sea below. The flight typically lasts 20–40 minutes depending on thermals.
Bozburun, west of the city, is the main launch site. The landing strip is on the beach at Konyaaltı. No experience is needed for tandem flights; the instructor controls the glider throughout. Thermal conditions are best in the morning; book the day before in summer to secure a slot.
