A village on the south bank of the Thu Bon River, reached by a short boat ride from the Old Town. Kim Bong craftsmen have supplied the carved wooden furniture, doors, and architectural details for Hoi An's merchant houses for centuries, and workshops here still produce traditional joinery alongside tourist pieces. Come to watch craftsmen work rather than to buy souvenirs. The boat trip itself — fifteen minutes on a sampan — is a pleasant way to see the river.
