Government House (State House)

The official residence of the President of Fiji, set on a low hill at the southern end of Queen Elizabeth Drive. The current white-walled mansion was built in 1928 after lightning destroyed the previous wooden building, and is the most formal piece of government architecture in the country.

You cannot enter, but the gates and the long driveway are visible from the road, and the changing of the guard — twice a month, in full Fijian sulu and rifle drill — is a small spectacle if your timing is good.
