The Laucala Bay campus of the University of the South Pacific, the largest regional university in the Pacific and jointly owned by twelve island states. The campus is large, leafy, and a pleasant break from the centre — wander past the Oceania Centre for Arts and Culture, which puts on free exhibitions and performances, and the Pacific Theological College next door.
The university bookshop is one of the best places in Fiji to buy books on Pacific history, anthropology, and contemporary fiction. The campus is about four kilometres east of the centre; any bus heading along Princes Road or Ratu Mara Road will pass it.
