Museo Ettore Fico sits away from Turin's royal and Baroque core, in a former industrial area that suits its contemporary programme. The museum is named for the Piedmontese painter Ettore Fico but looks outward as much as backward, with temporary exhibitions, photography, design, and installations.
It is not the first museum to visit in Turin, but it is a good choice once you have done the Egyptian Museum, MAUTO, and the palace circuit. The building gives the shows room to breathe, and the location hints at the city's less polished industrial side.
