Esplanade Park is one of central Riga's easiest green pauses, set between the Latvian National Museum of Art, the Orthodox cathedral, and several busy streets. The park was designed by Georg Kuphaldt and is a good place to slow down between museum visits or take a short detour through the city's formal 19th-century centre.
