Riga Ghetto Museum

The Riga Ghetto Museum documents the history of Riga's Jewish community, the Nazi-created ghetto, and the Holocaust in Latvia. Its open-air setting includes a relocated historic wooden house and cobblestones from the former ghetto, giving the exhibits a direct connection to the neighborhood's wartime history.

The museum is close to Riga Central Market and the old warehouse district, so it is easy to include on a walk south of the Old Town. It is a sober but important stop for understanding 20th-century Riga.
