The Latvian Photographic Museum traces photography in Latvia from the 19th century onward, with material from 1839 and displays on the World Wars and the 1905 Revolution. It is a small, focused museum rather than one of Riga's headline sights.
It is most useful for visitors with an interest in photography, Latvian social history, or quieter museums in and around the Old Town.
