Nurulla Mosque

The Nurulla Mosque, built in 1849, is the second oldest stone mosque in Kazan. It sits in the heart of the Old Tatar Quarter on Moskovskaya Street, a tall green-roofed building with a slim white minaret beside it.

The interior is plain — open prayer hall, calligraphy on the walls, a small library. The mosque is active and visitors should call ahead during Friday prayers. A short walk from the Märcani Mosque and easy to combine on the same morning.
