Cathedral Church of St. James

The Cathedral Church of St. James is a Gothic Revival Anglican cathedral near St. Lawrence Market, completed in the 19th century and still one of downtown Toronto's strongest church buildings. Its tall spire, pointed arches, and stained glass give a sharp contrast to the financial-district towers nearby.

The small garden beside the cathedral is a pleasant place to pause while walking between King Street, St. Lawrence Market, and the old town blocks east of Yonge Street.
